Elyria Teens For Christ

A cooperative youth ministry program between St. Jude, St. Mary & St. Agnes parishes

Welcome to another season of activity for Elyria Teens for Christ (ETC). It is so cool to see how the excitement and enthusiasm from past years has broadened the participation to now include youth from three area parishes, as well as throughout the county. It has been great to watch this youth group grow each year as more teens get to know one another. I want to be sure that all area teens from these parishes not only feel welcome themselves, but also feel free to invite friends and family to participate in any or all of the upcoming events.

Here's a calendar of events. What has been planned for this season is the direct result of feedback and input received from past participants. All programs, liturgies and events are planned and executed by the teens themselves. Topics covered are chosen by young people and are relevant to the issues and struggles that are faced daily by teens as they grow and mature. Other ideas, feedback and input are always welcome and could result in additional activities or events being included this year.

ETC is meant to provide and opportunity for teens to grow in their faith, participate in the life of the church and community and have fun, as they interact or just “hang out” with other area teens.

As always, please feel free to approach me at any time with any questions, comments or suggestions that you may have. I look forward to seeing you all this year and working together to create a worthwhile and exciting program for the upcoming months that everyone will enjoy.

What a couple of teens have said about Elyria Teens For Christ:

“The faith, friendships and fun you have at ETC will become a part of your life that you will grow to rely on and never forget.”
Emily

“ETC has taught me a lot about the church in a way that made it seem fun. It’s a place where you can meet some new friends and have a good time.”
Kristen
