CYO and Sports Committee

The St. Jude’s CYO Athletic Club is excited to announce our partnership with Sports Pilot.  This new web-based program will allow parents to create “family accounts,” thus making registration easier and quicker.  You will not have to fill out forms by hand and payments can be made online.

General Information:

The Sports Committee provides a supervised program of competitive sports under the rules and policies of CYO. The objective is to have fun and firmly implant the ideals of good sportsmanship among the participants. Adult assistance is needed in coaching, fund raising, and promoting the various sports programs for both boys and girls.

Sports Committee Director Positions Open for Nomination

The St. Jude Sports Committee has five Director positions that lead various functions of our CYO program.  These positions carry terms of two years.  This spring, the Sports Committee is accepting nominations for Communications Director and Facilities Director.  Specific responsibilities for these two roles can be found in the Sports Committee by-laws.  In general, the Communication’s Director is responsible for taking Sports Committee meeting minutes and creating and delivering communications regarding CYO to the Parish, School and parents.  The Facilities Director is responsible for coordinating the use and maintenance of the Parish’s facilities, equipment and concession, as well as game-day operations.  Nominations are to be submitted to Mike Shebak, St. Jude’s Athletic Director, by May 30, 2017

Ohio Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training

New in 2017 – All Coaches and Student athletes are required to review a Sudden Cardiac Arrest video. Athletes and parents are required to sign a form stating they’ve reviewed it.
