Volunteer Requirements – VIRTUS
VIRTUS is the brand name that identifies best practices programs designed to help prevent wrongdoing and promote “rightdoing” within religious organizations. The VIRTUS programs empower organizations and people to better control risk and improve the lives of all those who interact with the Church. Charges may vary depending on the location where the training is being offered.
All Adult Volunteers who work with children are required to complete VIRTUS training before beginning as a volunteer at St. Jude. This includes, but is not limited to, CYO Coaches and Assistant Coaches, PSR Teachers/Aides, CLOW leaders, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd leaders and Vacation Bible School volunteers.
All adult Volunteers who work with children are also required to participate in an ongoing background check process through Selection.com. Once you have completed a VIRTUS training, you will receive online instructions on how to submit your personal information through Selection.com.

CYO Volunteers – return both signed forms to the CYO Compliance Director.
All other volunteers – return both signed forms to Mr. Kelly Flowers, Business Manager, at the Rectory.
